Emirates Presents First UAE Astronaut Live Interview from International Space Station - The award-winning Emirates ice inflight system will offer customers another innovation, this time with unique content. United Arab Emirates (UAE) astronaut United Arab Emirates (UAE) astronaut Dr. Sultan AlNeyadi will bring his space travel experience together with Emirates passengers during his stay at the International Space Station (ISS). The interview will be broadcast live on the Emirates World Channel from September 1, 2023, the day Sultan AINeyadi returns to Earth after his six-month science mission on the ISS. The interview was conducted at the Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Center (MBRSC) mission control center via NASA in Houston via a space-to-Earth communications link. Dr. Alneyadi enjoys his coffee in microgravity, experiments and prepares for his daily training, which gives him a magnificent view of planet Earth. The award-winning Emirates ice inflight system will offer yet another innovation to its customers, this time with unique content. United Arab Emirates (UAE) astronaut Dr. Sultan AlNeyadi will bring his space travel experience together with Emirates passengers during his stay at the International Space Station (ISS).
The interview will be broadcast live on the Emirates World Channel from September 1, 2023, the day Sultan AINeyadi will return to Earth after his six-month science mission on the ISS. The journey home from space is expected to take up to 16 hours. that is, an hour less than Emirates' longest flight (Auckland to Dubai takes 17 hours). The Emirates ice interview was conducted at the Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Center (MBRSC) mission control center via NASA in Houston, via a space-to-Earth communications link.
The interview was hosted by Patrick Brannelly, Emirates' Vice President, IFE and Connectivity. Dr. In this book, AlNeyadi talks about the meals he ate on the plane, how he stayed in touch with his family, and also what astronauts do in their spare time. Orbiting the ISS at an incredible altitude of 400 kilometers and a speed of 28.000 kilometers per hour, live images are captured by Dr. AlNeyadi enjoys his coffee in microgravity, experiments and prepares for his daily training, which gives him a magnificent view of planet Earth.
Emirates is the first UAE astronaut to complete a six-month mission on the ISS as part of Expedition 69, as well as the first Arab astronaut to step into space. It focused on AlNeyadi's journey. Thus, Emirates was honored to work with one of the UAE's national heroes to collaborate on this historic content for the in-flight ice system.
